Share TikTok links without tracking parameters

Remove the parameters TikTok adds when you share a video or a profile. Done in your browser, free, no account.

TikTok link cleaner

Paste one or more, one per line. Works with tiktok.com links (videos and profiles) and with the short links the app gives you, like vt.tiktok.com/…

Cleaning happens in your browser. Only if you paste a short TikTok link (vt.tiktok.com or vm.tiktok.com), Miniurl opens it from the server to find out which video it leads to; we don't store it.

How people use it

  • Sharing a TikTok video in groups, forums, or public social media without the parameters the app adds.
  • Sending a link to someone you don't know well without codes tied to your account.
  • Putting a TikTok link on a website, in an email, or in a document with a shorter, tidier address.
  • Creators and brands sharing their own videos who don't want tracking parameters in the links.
  • Cleaning several links at once, one per line, before pasting them into a chat.

Why use this cleaner

Removes “_t”, “_r”, “u_code”, “share_app_name”, and other share parameters in one click.
Private: cleaning happens in your browser; only short links go through our server so it can open them, and we don't store them.
Free, no account, no limit on links.
Accepts several links at once, one per line.
Keeps the rest of the link, so it opens the same thing as the original.

Which parameters does TikTok add when you share a link?

When you copy a video link from TikTok, the address usually carries parameters after the “?” sign: for example https://www.tiktok.com/@user/video/123?_t=abc&_r=1. The video opens the same with or without them.

This cleaner removes the ones listed in the ClearURLs project's rules for tiktok.com: u_code, preview_pb, _d, _t, _r, timestamp, user_id, share_app_name, share_iid, and source, plus utm parameters. We have no official explanation from TikTok of what each one does; going by the names, several look like data about who shared and from which app, but that is our reading, not something confirmed.

Short links, like the vt.tiktok.com/… the app gives you when you share, are a short address that redirects to the video. We checked four links: all led to the long link with the “_r” and “_t” parameters. To clean them, this cleaner opens the short link from Miniurl's server, sees which video it leads to, and removes the parameters in your browser. That is the only piece of data that leaves your browser, only if you paste a short link, and we don't store it. The result looks like https://www.tiktok.com/@user/video/ID: it names whoever uploaded the video, not whoever shared it. People who document short links claim they can carry the username of whoever shared; we haven't verified that, but the clean link doesn't depend on it.

Cleaning happens in your browser; only short links go through the server so it can open them. Removing the parameters doesn't change what you shared before or what TikTok knows about what you do inside the app. And if you also want a short link with click stats, you can shorten it with Miniurl.
